Indigenous Engagement

At SAYKA, we are committed to actively collaborating with Local Indigenous communities and organisations across Australia.

Our involvement also extends to creating job opportunities and establishing connections with community groups to encourage the development of talent pipelines. We have taken noteworthy strides in cultivating a culturally secure and inclusive workplace. Moreover, our efforts extend beyond achieving employment parity with over 4% of our team members identifying as Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander peoples, and we strive to continue building on this progress.

COLLABORATION WITH LUKE PENRITH

SAYKA is delighted to have formed a partnership with Luke Penrith to offer a range of workwear that we now stock. Luke Penrith's lineage is rooted in the Wiradjuri, Wotjobaluk, Yuin, and Gumbaynggirr Nations, and he is dedicated to mentoring and supporting Indigenous Australian job-seekers. Luke places significant value on the preservation and celebration of his people's traditions, culture, and heritage.

10% of profits from this range go towards the Brungle Bush Tucker Garden & Workshops, and a further 10% of profits from this range are reinvested in Indyamarra Ngumbaay Aboriginal Corporation to build capacity within Aboriginal Communities.

Bloodlines Design

The Bloodlines creation shows the interconnection between the land, food, culture, spirit and identity.

Yarning Circles

A yarning circle is a practice of speaking and listening from the heart. It is a collaborative way to communicate in a respectful place without judgement.
